Foggy Dew is an asymmetrical triangular shawl that features a beautiful, textured panel of fern lace and rope cables flanked by cute clover eyelets. The overall design of the shawl is formed by combinations of simple stitches such as knits, purls, yarn overs, decreases and small cables, but the variety of these stitches as you work across the rows will be sure to keep your interest. PLEASE NOTE THE DATES OF THIS CLASS, as there is a two week gap to give plenty of stitching time.

MAFIC is a flat-knit garter-stitch hat! Knit it entirely flat without true seams, all in one piece, and it is reversible. Boxy construction smoothes out when worn, due to the flexibility of garter stitch. Raised faux-seams on the reverse side make this an interesting hat to wear inside-out or as intended. And the unusual structure makes this project an excellent, functional showcase for scrap yarns and leftovers from other worsted- or heavy-DK-weight projects. Since this hat knits up in less than one average hand-dyed worsted skein (~200 yds) and shows off its yarn with simple stitches, it’s a good project in anything from plain wool to scraps to pristine luxury hand-dyed skeins. With just one needle required, the materials list is pleasingly minimalist. Two adult sizes.

Worked SEAMLESSLY from the top down, Cowloween knits up quickly, but wears like a hassle-free shawl. Unlike traditional tube cowls that rumple into a pile of knitting around your neck, this shawl-shaped construction lets your knitting shine by creating a triangular front and shortened back. The shape is wonderful, wearable, and just plain fun to knit. Please note that the stranded colorwork sections of this cowl are charted and do not include written instructions.
Two sizes, child and adult.

A generously sized, sheer scarf or stole quickly becomes a go-to piece to take a minimalist wardrobe through spring, summer and fall. This luxurious example in four sizes (small scarf/large scarf/petite stole/tall stole) is graced with a lush foliage motif, bordered with prim leaf buds. The stitchwork is simple and easily memorized, but the effect is lusty and deeply embossed, every leaf surrounded by yarnover highlights. Gorgeous in a smooth luxury blend, this design translates nicely for cool weather in a rustic wool blend or heavier weight yarn (with needle adjustments).
